Humidity Toxicity – Houston Humidity Electrical Problems
What’s one thing that absolutely nobody can agree on?
Humidity.
Here’s an interesting thing you might not know about Houston. Our relative humidity is 75% or above all year round. While some of you might think that’s perfect, there are plenty of you saying that’s a real problem.
So? Who cares?
Just about anything that disagrees with standing water raises its hand and votes against humidity every single time.
And for good reason.
Consider dust. We’re constantly at war with it, but we can’t ever stop it from gathering, no matter how hard we try. By itself, it’s an eyesore, but when it teams up with humidity, you have all the ingredients necessary for electricity to arc and cause faults or worse.
To make matters more complicated, some humidity isn’t visible without using special tools and IR cameras. Say what you want about dust, but at least you can see it, while humidity can hide in plain sight like a ninja. And that’s bad for everyone.
Water causes corrosion, and corrosion ruins everything it touches. Say goodbye to anything with a circuit board once water sinks its teeth in.
We could go on and on about the dangers of humidity, or we could try something different. Start by asking yourself if your electricians care about humidity or if they are more worried about hurrying up so they can go to the next job.
Cravens takes humidity seriously. It’s considered a detail in this industry, and that’s the real problem. We can prevent most humidity-related problems before they happen, and that’s good for everyone.
See how easy that was?
